Courts

Cottontail Swim and Racquet Club has two courts available for Tennis and Pickleball play for members.  Associate Members have access to the courts mid- May through Labor Day.  Regular Members can access the courts year round.  Cottontail’s courts were resurfaced in 2025.

Cottontail is excited to welcome Melissa Gezgic as our Courts Head Coach for the 2026 season!

Hi! I’m Melissa Gezgic, the Head Tennis and Pickleball Coach. I’m a member of the James Madison University Competitive Pickleball Team, and I grew up playing tennis, developing my foundation at Enka Tennis Club in Istanbul. My background in both sports has shaped my understanding of technique, strategy, and player development across all levels.

I love working with players of all ages, especially kids, and helping them build confidence, coordination, and a genuine love for racquet sports. I have experience leading drills, organizing practices, and creating a positive, supportive environment where every player feels encouraged to learn and improve. I can’t wait to have a fun and engaging summer on the court with everyone!

Michael Bailey 

Hi, I'm Michael. I was a player on the West Springfield High school tennis team for two years, where I learned how to play tennis with some of the best players in high school. I have loved playing tennis since I was only five years old and participated in camps as young as eight years old, which helped grow my passion for the sport even more. I'm excited to be able to bring tennis to another generation of kids eager to learn a new sport.

Jean Laffitte 

Hi, I’m Jean. I’m a member of the National Honor Society, where I’ve developed strong discipline, responsibility, and leadership skills. I’ve been involved in sports such as tennis, rock climbing, and pickleball for several years, which have helped shape my work ethic and love of staying active. I’m excited to bring my energy and dedication into a coaching environment.

How to Enroll

1. Complete the form for each child in your household that will be attending camps. Camps are age-specific for times. Select the registration form for your child's current age group.
2. After registering, pay the invoice electronically or by check.
